Visited too many post office across the globe...but floating post office in the lake of Jammu and Kashmir has attracted a lot of tourists around the globe.
The Indian Post opened the first floating post office in the famous Dal Lake in Srinagar.
This post office offers regular postal services across the globe. It has a unique seal which best describes the life of people of Srinagar and there life lines...The Shikaras.
It was opened up for public in August 2011.
Since its opening it has been a lifeline to many people living there or has been a safe place to deposit for there hard worked earnings that has been earned through small scale business that are available around the Dal lake.
